The legendary notebook

Going against the grain of consumer products that are replaced once broken or outdated, TRAVELER'S COMPANY – formerly Midori – imagined a handcrafted notebook that gives its owner a sense of freedom through its simplicity and sturdiness.

Created in 2006, the notebook consists of an interchangeable insert wrapped in a supple leather cover that improves with age. Its minimalism means it can be personalised almost endlessly thanks to the thirty or so refills available.

Two sizes, five colours

The TRAVELER'S notebook comes in two sizes. The Regular size, the original format: a cover of around 22 × 12 cm for 21 × 11 cm refills, a slim format that fits in one hand. The Passport size, created for travelling light: around 13.4 × 9.8 cm, with 12.4 × 8.9 cm refills, the size of a passport.

Five cover colours, all in cowhide leather tanned in Chiang Mai: Black, Brown and Camel, the classics since 2006, then Blue and Olive. Each cover comes with an MD paper notebook, a spare elastic band and a cotton pouch.

The notebook that stands the test of time

Don't buy another notebook just because the one you have is a year older than the new one. An old notebook has character, rough edges, stories and a charm the new one will never have. Choose repair instead: it creates one more bond with your object.

The notebooks are made by hand between Japan and Thailand: the cover comes from a small factory in Chiang Mai, the white paper is Japanese. With more than 30 refills available, put together your ideal notebook, the one that will follow you every day on all your adventures.

TRAVELER'S FACTORY, four shops in Japan

Each shop is a journey into the world of TRAVELER'S COMPANY: every element of the decor was designed and made by hand by the brand's producer Atsuhiko Iijima and art director Miho Hashimoto. TRAVELER'S FACTORY is no ordinary shop: objects linked to rail travel in the Tokyo Station shop, to air travel at Narita Airport, to traditional Japan in Kyoto.

If you are a true fan of the brand, you cannot go to Japan without stopping by the official shop in Nakameguro. There you will find the whole collection, but also a selection of products such as Toyo Steel boxes, Tools to Liveby scissors and Picus brass accessories.
